the creeping feeling of being somewhere you're not supposed to be, out of place, out of mind.
as i was riding through the half lit garage, those last words. as though a stark reminder of the reality. obtrusive, obvious, blatant.

the last piece of the puzzle, my dura-ace cog is currently sitting in my mailbox. it has been sitting there for a few hours now. i'm sure of it because i heard the mailman come.
but... i cannot for the life of me find the mailbox key. i have looked everywhere. i even rummaged through the trash. where could i have put it. i'm so mad right now.

a set of new mavic's have just shown up at the door. overall it's a nice upgrade compared to the old wheelset but this is not how i imagined i'd be upgrading my wheels.
still waiting for my favorite hutchinson's and dura-ace cog and lockring to show up. i thought the mavic's would be lighter =\ guess i gotta wait a couple of days to find out.
NOT gonna lose them again. ever. thieves be warned: u-lock street justice coming your way.

musical theme of the day: motown.
watching the sun rise is an interesting and challenging exercise in self restraint. on one hand you kinda wanna just go to bed and say "screw this!" while on the other hand you can't wait to see the sky go *bling*. you'd think it'll be a gradual process, but here's where you're wrong. it's usually like someone had suddenly flipped a switch.
so the sun's out, and i'd just broken into a motown medley. what do i do now? ah, a square of dark chocolate hits the tip of my tongue barely 30 seconds into this meandering thought process. problem solved. the remedy.
hello you, thursday. i love thursdays.

| hey stupid | ![]() |
smart had one good idea. and that idea was stupid.
so don't be afraid to be stupid. but just don't be ignorant.
being stupid and being ignorant are two distinctly separate notions. while being stupid might land you a few snickers or a helpful hand, being ignorant affords you no tangible outcomes. nobody is going to point out your ignorance. by the time you think you have it all figured out, regret ensues. so it doesn't take a genius to figure out that ignorance inevitably leads to regret.
i wonder if my generation has the foresight to recognize our ignorance. to issues bigger than ourselves. environmental issues, economic/political issues, social issues. and if we do, are we able to change anything? to effect change to humanity requires us to rally. i don't think anyone who was born after the 70s knows how to rally anymore.
sure we already have overwhelming numbers of facebook groups and online petitions to gather enough signatures to make the earth spin the other way but do those things actually have as big an impact as say woodstock or tian'anmen square?
if we want change, we have to demonstrate it. starting from yourself. how about taking a few simple steps to help out the environment? it doesn't cost you a dime, but may make you feel better about living on this earth.
have a permanent waterbottle instead of drinking bottled water.
ride a bicycle the next time you decide to grab a cup o coffee. borrow one, buy one on the cheap 2nd hand. 60% of all journeys made in the US are under 1 MILE, and 90% of those trips are made in CARS. makes you go WOW doesn't it.
...
do something. so that you know you are not being ignorant.

i am listening to bon iver. i don't know what is it but his voice is like a magnet to my ears.
the weather is so unbelievably delicious: the afternoon sun peeking through the canopy of that un-named tree outside my window, occasionally with a dash of sky blue in the mix.
alright now. i'm going out on to the balcony to sip on an apple strawberry smoothy that i've just made.
c'est la vie.

if 15 million dollars can be spent on a brand new ad campaign, why not try to reverse what you have done instead? it has been 47 days.
